This Maxell 183270 DLT-IV tape has a native capacity of 40 GB and a compressed capacity of 80 GB. Transfer rates for the 183270 DLT-IV tapes by Maxell can go up to 6 MB/s (sustained and native) and 12 MB/s (compressed). Maxell�s patented ceramic coated metal particle tape ensures that the 183270 DLT-IV tapes can achieve up to 1,000,000 passes. The Maxell 183270 tape media uses Metal Particle 2 (MP2). The Maxell DLT-IV 183270 tape has sophisticated error detection and correction mechanisms that ensure that you get lower error rates. The 183270 tape media is compatible with DLT 7000 and DLT 8000 tape drives. DLT tapes usually support some backward and forward compatibility.
