HP AIT-3 (100/260) GB

Product Description:
AIT (Advanced Intelligent Tape):
Hp AIT (Advanced Intelligent Tape) format is a leading tape technology that stands apart from other models. No other tape format has a full magnetic layer for maximum storage capacity and comes with a MIC (Memory in Cassette) chip.
AME (Advanced Metal Evaporated):
AME (Advanced Metal Evaporated) is a new technology offered, which delivers 100% cobalt for an increase in retentivity. The AME technology was patented and consists of depositing a pure metal magnetic layer directly on the base film without the use of binders or adhesives. This creates maximum recording performance and reliability.
MIC (Memory in Cassette):
Many of the AIT tape cartridges include a built-in flash memory chip that stores operational and directory information from the backed up data. This AIT MIC chip creates quick access to data, and decreasing loading time for insertion and ejection.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) Coating:
The exterior of the AIT backup tapes is protected by a smooth carbon coating that is almost as hard as a diamond, and significantly (20 times) harder than metal oxidides. This is an obvious benefit for longevity and reliability
Specifications for HP AIT1 Q1999A Backup Tape:
High-performance: enables faster data access with MIC technology-up to 50% improvement over other technologies
High-capacity: supports 35/ 70GB capacity
Dependable: Supports MIC offering greater data integrity with fault-tolerant system logs-data is secure
Longevity: 1/3rd less tape tension creates longer life cycles for high-density recording
AIT-1 drives can achieve up to 70 cleans on a single cleaning cartridge.
